What does ‘Tannenbaum’ mean?
‘Tannenbaum’ is the German word for the evergreen fir tree. Because it is always green, it is taken to represent constancy, dependability and faithfulness. The Christmas song “O Tannenbaum” is based on a German folk song which wasn’t originally associated with Christmas, but has since become a Christmas staple. While the song’s melody is hundreds of years old, the lyrics were written in 1824 by Ernst Anschütz.
Download this coloring page upon purchase to print and color as many times as you please. The PDF is not colored, signed or watermarked. It is made to fit an 8.5×11-inch page with 1/2-inch margins. It can also be printed on A4 paper. The final printed page looks very crisp, with no blurs, blemishes or unwanted lines.
Print using a laser printer to prevent smudging when coloring, especially if you’ll be using ink, markers or paint rather than crayons or colored pencils. Consider printing on card stock rather than plain paper to prevent your pigments warping or bleeding through your pages.
